Ferrin, 84, of 546 W. 21st St., Tyrone, died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2002 at 1:30 p.m. at Epworth Manor. She was born May 9, 1918 in Windber, a daughter of Elmer and Mary (Pruner) Harbaugh. On Aug. 30, 1937 in Bellefonte, she married Percy Eugene Ferrin. He died Aug. 3, 1966. Surviving is a daughter, Carol Ewing of Tyrone, a sister, Olga Daugherty of Anchorage, Alaska, and a brother, Dr. Norman Harbaugh of Atlanta, Ga. She was preceded in death by a daughter Mary Christine. Mrs. Ferrin retired in 1981 from Big Yank Corp., Tyrone as a machine operator following 32 years of service. She was previously employed in the kitchens of the former Fern's and Driftwood restaurants. She was of the Protestant faith and was a member of the Anderson- Denny Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary. Funeral services will be held at the Feller Memorial home on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Norman E. Huff officiating. Interment will follow at Baughman Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Feller Memorial Home today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
