FICKES Well known resident of Claysburg, R.D., and employed at the plant of the General Refractories company at Sproul, died this morning at 4 o'clock at his home, death being attributed to a complication of ailments. He was a son of Harry R. and Anna B. (Mock) Fickes and was born at King, Jan. 17, 1902, and grew to manhood in that community and graduated from the Greenfield Township High School at Claysburg. He was united in marriage with Miss Catherine Beard of Pavia, Jan. 31, 1933, who survives, with one son, Harry Kyle Fickes, and his parents and these brothers and sisters: Warren and Leroy of Claysburg, Jacob, in Florida, Mrs. Irene Close of Sproul and Mrs. John S. Hoenstine of Columbia City, Ind. He was a member of St. Mark's Reformed church at King. Friends will be received at the home after noon Tuesday. FICKES - Funeral services for Charles H. Fickes of Claysburg, R.D., will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock in St. Mark's Reformed church at King, in charge of the pastor Rev. Donald W. Schriener.
