All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ FILER Mrs. Cora Elizabeth Filer, wife of Harry Filer, of 412 East Logan avenue, died on Saturday evening at 8.30 o'clock, after an illness that extended over a period of several years, death being caused by a complete physical breakdown. She was born at Spruce Creek, the daughter of James and Mary Simpson, both deceased, on April 5, 1884. She is survived by her husband and three children, Blanche, Eleanor and Margaret. Another child died two weeks ago. She is also survived by the following brothers: Charles, Harry and James Simpson, all of this city; George of Sunbury, William of Hollidaysburg, and Ira in France. She was a member of the Reformed church since 16 years of age, and was also a member of the Ladies' auxiliary, B. of R.T. No. 174. The funeral will be held on Tuesday afternoon, at 4 o'clock, from the residence of Mrs. Charles D. Bowman, at 412 East Logan avenue in charge of Rev. Grove. The body may be viewed by friends at any time and the interment will be made in Rose Hill cemetery. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Monday Morning, November 11, 1918
