All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ WILLIAM FINNIGAN William Finnigan, aged 61 years, died at the home of his sister, Mrs. John McGee, of Ore Hill, on Friday morning at 5:05 o'clock. Death was caused by cancer of the throat, and followed an illness covering a period of one year and five months. A son of Daniel and Susan Finnegan, he was born in Taylor township near Snyder's cross roads on March 18, 1861. The greater part of the man's life was spent in Cambria county. In January 1921, he came to this section to reside with his sister. In 1883 he was married to Miss Susan Mobley who died thirty-two years ago. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Anna Robinson of Conemaugh, and two sons, David of Cassandra, and Albert of Windber. Also two sisters, Mrs. John McGee of Ore Hill, and Miss Anna Finnegan of Portage, and two brothers, John of Ford City, and David of Bedford. The remains were give in charge of Funeral Director Grant Hite for preparations for burial. Services were conducted at his late home Sunday morning at 9 o'clock, by Rev. Isaac H. Stern. Interment was made at Henrietta. Martinsburg Herald, July 21, 1922
