Between the hours of 4 and 5 o'clock yesterday morning death claimed Fred J. Fisher, one of Tyrone's best known young men, at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Fisher, of Pennsylvania avenue. The unfortunate young man, who died in early manhood, has been the victim of various maladies since early childhood, but exceptional stamina, inherited from a robust ancestry, pulled him through until his latest illness, with which he was seized about sixteen months ago. He had typhoid fever at the age of 2 years; scarlet fever when he was 8, and a severe attack of pleurisy in 1906. After recovering sufficient of his former strength for the journey he left for Carlsbad, N.M., where he stayed for two years on a ranch and came home robust and strong. It was in July of 1915 that he was seized with a hemorrhage of the lungs and tuberculosis had him in its grip. It affected first his lungs, then the kidneys, heart and intestines and culminated in dropsy, which was the immediate cause of his demise. In hopes of improving his health again he left in February of this year for Ashville, N.C., but came back on July 3 with no apparent improvement in his condition. He took to his bed seven weeks ago. Deceased was born here on May 21, 1883. With the above exceptions when he sought health at points in the west and south, all his young life was spent in this place, where he was popular with a wide circle of friends. He was a member of the First Presbyterian church and the Tyrone club. Besides his parents he leaves the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Charles Nash and Thomas W. Fisher, of Tyrone; Miss Byrd S., Robert E., and Edith, at home. One sister, Mary, preceded him to the grave about ten years ago. Funeral services will be held from the late home on Pennsylvania avenue tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of his pastor, Rev. H. W. Bieber. Interment will be made in Grand View cemetery.
