FISHER Of 1313 Eighteenth avenue, retired employee of the Pennsylvania Railroad company, died at 2:50 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the Altoona Hospital of a complication of diseases after more than a month's illness. Mr. Fisher retired from the local shops on Feb. 1, 1921, with forty one years of service. For a number of years he resided in the vicinity of Fifth avenue and Fifteenth street. He was born at Bridgeford, Clearfield county, Jan. 23, 1851, and learned the milling trade as a young man, working in a number of the Clearfield county mills. His wife, Mrs. Clara (Dixon) Fisher, died March 18, 1925. Surviving are two sons, E. L. Fisher, with whom he resided at 1313 Eighteenth avenue and G. E. Fisher, also of the city; six grandchildren and three sisters: Mrs. Barbara McDermitt and Miss Laura Fisher of Buffalo, N. Y., and Miss Emma Fisher of Pittsburgh. The funeral will be held Friday morning with requiem mass at 9 o'clock in the Cathedral chapel. The body may be visited at the late home.
