MARY FLANIGAN.

  On Saturday morning Mrs. Mary Flanigan, wife of the elder James 
Flanigan, died at her residence on Ninth avenue, near Fourteenth 
street.  Mrs. Flanigan was a native of Ireland, having first seen the 
light of day in the Emerald Isle sixty-seven years ago.  After her 
marriage the happy couple came to the land of promise twenty-four years 
ago, and settled in Altoona.  She was one of our well-known residents, 
a good neighbor and ever ready to assist in sickness or in death.  The 
funeral will take place this morning at 8:30 o'clock, from St. Mary's 
Catholic Church.
