MRS. VERNA I. FLENNER

Of 617 Washington avenue, Tyrone, died at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon 
in the Altoona hospital.  Mrs. Flenner had been in ill health for some 
years, but suffered a sudden heart attack yesterday morning.  Mrs. 
Flenner was born near McVeytown Oct. 2, 1883, the daughter of J. Alva 
and Laura (Moore) Caldwell.  Surviving are her husband, George S. 
Flenner; three daughters, Mrs. Madeline Beck and Mrs. Helen Boyer of 
Altoona and Mrs. Betty Jane Mogle, at home.  One son, Gerald F. (Bud) 
Flenner, died in September, 1948.  She was a member of the First 
English Lutheran church of Tyrone and the Tyrone chapter, Order of 
Eastern Star.
