Forcey, 423 Garfield st., died yesterday at 11:30 p.m. at Tyrone Hospital after an extended illness. He was born Jan. 13, 1876 at Grampian, the son of Gideon C. and Lucy Houser Forcey. He was twice married, first to Lillian Kyler, and secondly to Mrs. Clara Chronister, the latter on Dec. 25, 1909. She survives. Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Iva Holt, Altoona; Frank, Tyrone; Mrs. Mary Harshberger, North Adams, Mich.; Mrs. Verna Irvin, Fort Myers, Fla.; three stepchildren, Mrs. Sarah Freed, Mrs. Verna Caswell, both of Lewistown; and David Chronister, Warriors Mark: the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Alice Flaherty, Buffalo, N.Y.; Mrs. Viola Ogden, Clearfield; Ralph, Frank, Miss Francis Forcey, Clara Forcey, Mrs. Catherine C. Steele, all of Jersey Shore; 21 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. He was a member of the Columbia Ave. Methodist Church and of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. He was an engineer on the Pennsylvania Railroad, retiring in 1941 after 43 years service. Funeral service will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, in charge of the Rev. Rollin H. Taylor. Burial will be in Bald Eagle Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
