She was born April 5, 1917, in Warriors Mark, the daughter of Milton A. and Rosa (Solt) Bickel, and Jan. 14, 1944, in Altoona, married Franklin J. Forcey, who died Dec. 21, 1981. Surviving are a son, Edwin L. Gill of Tyrone; two step-daughters, Mrs. Loretta May Turner of Haven Beach, N.J., and Mrs. Dorothea Louise Ohrtman of Harrisburg; seven grandchildren, including Edwin L. Gill Jr. of New York City, Steven J. Gill of Carlisle and Michael S. Gill of Tyrone, all raised in the home, and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters: Mrs. Mildred Snyder of Tyrone, Mrs. Edna Gruber of Cherry Hill, N.J., and Mrs. Iva Kelly of Foster City, Calif. Mrs. Forcey was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church, Tyrone; Tyrone VFW Auxiliary and Tyrone Hospital Auxiliary. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 9 to 11 a.m. Friday in the Derman Funeral Home, Tyrone. FORCEY - Services for Gladys E. Forcey of 610 W. 18th St., Tyrone, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Derman Funeral Home, Tyrone, by the Rev. Richard G. Felty. Interment in Burket Cemetery, Warriors Mark. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until time of services Friday in the funeral home.
