DUFFY Mrs. Duffy, 89, of 228 Leaf Lane, Hollidaysburg, died at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, January 6, 1988 at Valley View Home, following an extended illness. She was born January 27, 1898 in St. Augustine, the daughter of John and Rose (Krise) Fornwalt, and October 18, 1917 married Joseph C. Duffy, who died June 10, 1939. Surviving are five children: William and Marian Ferguson of Hollidaysburg, Patrick of Jacksonville, Florida and Clement and Rosemary Korhan of State College; 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Mrs. Duffy was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Plank and Stitt Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg. Altoona Mirror, January 7, 1988 _____ MISS DESSIE A. FORNWALT Of 1430 Washington Avenue, died at 12:15 o'clock yesterday afternoon. She was born in Altoona April 19, 1907, the daughter of Charles C. and Mary (sic) (Krise) Fornwalt. Surviving are two brothers; John E. and Thomas, both of Altoona; three sisters, Mrs. George MacIntyre, Mrs. Dellie (sic) Duffy and Miss Blanche, all of Altoona. She was a member of the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament. Friends are being received at the Jones funeral Home after 7 o'clock this evening. Altoona Mirror, January 22, 1944 _____ MRS. ROSE FORNWALT Of 2115 Fifteenth Avenue, widow of Charles Clinton Fornwalt, died at her home at 12:18 o'clock this morning after several months' illness resulting from a heart attack. She was born February 1, 1870 in St. Augustine, Cambria County, a daughter of Thomas J. and Matilda (Trexler) Krise. Her husband died 22 years ago and she also was preceded in death by two daughters. Surviving are the following children: John Fornwalt, Mrs. George MacIntyre, Mrs. DeLellis Duffy and Miss Dessie Fornwalt of the city. Miss Blanche and Thomas Fornwalt, at home; twenty-two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. John Grove of Ashville, Silas Krise of the Buckhorn, Mrs. Zena Conrad of Wilmore, Mrs. Arthur McDermott of Greensburg and Thomas Krise of Altoona. Mrs. Fornwalt was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church. Friends are being received at the home. Altoona Mirror, June 3, 1942 _____ MRS. MYRTLE I. MacINTYRE Wife of George MacIntyre of 541 21st Avenue. died at 7:45 a.m. today in the Altoona Hospital, where she was admitted an hour earlier, of a heart ailment. She was born in Altoona July 27, 1896, a daughter of Charles and Rose Crise (sic) Fornwalt and married Mr. MacIntyre in October 1920. Surviving are her husband, one son, William R. of the city: one grandson, two sisters and one brother, Mrs. DeLellis Duffy and Miss Blanche of the city and Tom of Harrisburg. She was a member of the Juniata Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Juniata Presbyterian Church, the auxiliary of the American Legion and Elks, the War Mothers and Marine Mothers.
