Forsht, 83, a resident of Graystone Manor, E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona formerly of 1017 E. Fifth St., Bellwood died Monday afternoon, February 28, 2005 at Altoona Regional Health System - Altoona Campus. He was born March 9, 1921 in Altoona, a son of the late Albert T. and Anna Florence (Carles) Forsht. He married Janet R. White on January 26, 1942 in Winchester, Va. She died September 11, 1992. Surviving are a son: Roy K. Jr. of Bellwood; daughters: Ruth A. Cox of Seabrook, Tx. and Amy L. Stultz of East Freedom; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Forsht was preceded in death by a grandson, Nathan Stultz in 1987; brothers: Earl and Howard and sisters: Lottie and Helen. Mr. Forsht retired in 1979 as a car inspector at Conrail with 41 years of service. He was a 1938 graduate of Antis High School. Mr. Forsht was a member of the Logan's Valley Baptist Church, Bellwood for 63 years. He was a former president of his local AFL CIO Union and a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He enjoyed woodworking. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, March 2 and 10-11 a.m. Thursday, March 3 at the Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 3, 2005 at the funeral home by Pastor John Grove. Interment at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Roy's memory may be made to Logan's Valley Baptist Church, Bellwood. Tyrone Daily Herald, March 2, 2005
