Another well known citizen of Altoona has been called away and the many friends and acquaintances of Jacob O. Forsythe will be shocked to hear of his demise, which occurred at half past 7 o'clock last evening at his residence, No. 1219 Sixth avenue, from pneumonia, superinduced by la grippe, from which he had partially recovered. He has been a resident here for about twenty-five years and for many years has carried on his business as shoemaker on Twelfth street, between Seventh and Eighth avenues. He leaves a wife, Mrs. Lizzie Forsythe, a daughter of the late Reuben Lewis, esq., but no children. Deceased was born below Lewistown, Mifflin county, and was 46 years old. Three sisters survive him. On account of the serious illness of his wife the funeral arrangements cannot be announced until to-morrow. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Thursday, April 23, 1891 Local Brevities. The funeral of Jacob O. Forsythe will take place from his late residence, No. 1219 Sixth avenue, this afternoon. Services will be conducted by Rev. H. R. Bender, D.D., of the Eighth avenue Methodist Episcopal church at half-past 2 o'clock and at the conclusion of the services the interment will be made in Oak Ridge cemetery.
