Fouse, Saturday afternoon at St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church. The main auditorium on the second floor was filled to capacity and the Sunday school room on the first floor was well filled. The service was in charge of the pastor, Rev. Sterling P. Martz, although Rev. Victor Steinberg, former pastor, now of Philadelphia, and who had married Mr. and Mrs. Fouse more than 13 years ago and who had come to Martinsburg for the funeral, took part in the briefer service at the home. Mrs. Fouse was an active worker in the Martinsburg church and was a member of the Cheerful Workers' circle of the Sunday school. The young women of this class attended the service in a body. Burial was made in Fairview cemetery. Mrs. Fouse passed away at the Nason hospital, Roaring Spring, on Wednesday, five days after giving birth to twin daughters. Although undergoing a major operation at the time she had been getting along well until the beginning of the week. The twins have been named Mabel Jean, after the mother, and Mary Jane. It is reported at the hospital that they are getting along well. There are six other children in the family. Altoona Mirror, Tuesday evening, July 13, 1948, page 5
