DOROTHY FOWKES  

  Mrs. Fowkes of 1141 6th Ave., Duncansville, died at 7 p.m. Saturday, 
April 9, 1983, in. Mercy Hospital.
  She was born in Altoona, the daughter of William and Elizabeth 
(Metzgar) Mitchell, and Feb. 11, 1930, in Cumberland, Md., married Paul 
Fowkes.
  Surviving are her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Dolores Stewart of 
Buffalo, N.Y.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
  Also surviving are a brother and sister: Roy of Altoona and Mrs. 
Charolette Rose of Fort Myers, Fla.
  Mrs. Fowkes was a member of the Duncansville Evangelical Lutheran 
Church. She was a league bowler at Holiday Bowl.
  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the 
Donald E. Liebegott Funeral Home, Duncansville.

FOWKES - Services for Dorothy Fowkes of 1141 6th Ave., Duncansville, 
will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Donald E. Liebegott Funeral Home 
Inc., Duncansville, by the Rev. Alan Kieffer. Interment in Carson 
Valley Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. 
today in the funeral home.
