  Mrs. Rachel Fox, an aged and respected lady of Sinking Valley, died 
at her home yesterday morning at eight o'clock.  Born before the 
nineteenth century began, she had nearly completed ninety-four years of 
life when the final summons came.  Old age was the cause of her death.  
Since 1851 she had been a resident of Sinking Valley, previously having 
lived at Tyrone Forges.  Her husband died about 1855.  To mourn their 
loss are left six children who are: Mrs. C. R. Burley and Mrs. Luther 
Fleck, of Tyrone; Misses Sarah and Mary and Reuben Fox, of Sinking 
Valley; and John Fox of Altoona.  She was a consistent and earnest 
member of the Lutheran church.  Rev. A. J. Bean, her pastor, will 
conduct the funeral services at the brick church, Sinking Valley, 
tomorrow morning at ten o'clock.
