Frantz, 84, of Harrisburg passed away on Friday, January 21, 2005 at Homeland Center, where she has resided since June 2004. She was born in Tyrone on September 16, 1920 the daughter of Sarah (Newman) Frantz and William Peter Frantz. She is preceded in death by her sister, Alberta (Frantz) Stahl and her brother, William Eugene Frantz, both of Tyrone. Ms. Frantz retired as an LPN from the Harrisburg State Hospital in 1981 with 33 years service. She was a volunteer at the Harrisburg Uptown Library for many years and was a past member of the Scottish Society. She was also a member of the PA Association of Retired State Employees and had been active in the Art Association of Harrisburg. She was a life-long member of the Christ United Methodist Church of Tyrone. She enjoyed reading, writing, painting, gardening and has traveled extensively. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Virginia (Schneider) Frantz of Tyrone, two nephews, William Peter Frantz and Matthew Frantz, also of Tyrone, one niece, Mrs. Sarah Ann Roumanis of Hamden, CT, one grand nephew and four grand nieces. She is also survived by her Godchild, Arletta Joy Jacoby and husband, Charles A. Jacoby of Camp Hill. Arrangements are being handled by the Auer Memorial Home and Cremation Services, Inc. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
