Frederick, age 72, of Sinking Valley, RD 3, Box 384, Altoona, PA died Tuesday morning, April 24, 2007 at his residence. He was born September 22, 1934 at Two Taverns, PA a son of Charles R. and Carrie C. (Murren) Frederick. He was married June 7, 1953 at St. John's Lutheran Church to Sara E. (Fisher) Burnshire. He is survived by his wife and a daughter Joyce K. Smith (Vance) of Williamsburg, PA, two grandchildren Sara R. Smith and Colleen R. Smith of Williamsburg, PA; step-children Martha Campbell (David) of Pennsylvania Furnace, PA and Melvin Ray Burnshire, Jr. (Martha) of Brooks Mills, PA, three step-grandchildren, six step-great grandchildren, two brothers and four sisters: Thomas Murren of Hanover, PA, Edward Frederick of Maryland, Mary Burke of RD 3 Altoona, Ruth Kirkum of Maryland, Jane Hopkins of RD Bellefonte, and Alice Sunseri of RD 5 Tyrone. He was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church and the Rifle and Pistol Club of Sinking Valley. He retired in 1997 as an over-the-road driver from E.F. Smith Trucking Co., Roaring Spring after 32 years service. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 27, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone, with Rev. Susan Haas Yatta officiating. Interment will follow at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. Tyrone Daily Herald, April 25, 2007
