Frederick Samuel "Fred" Friday Jr., 49, of Curwensville passed away Monday January 17, 2005 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center, West after a lengthy Illness. Born February 10, 1955 in Tyrone, he was the son of Frederick Samuel Sr. and Gwenavere Ann (Allen) Friday. Mr. Friday was employed by New Pig Corporation in Tipton, and had previously been employed at West- Vaco Paper Corp. in Tyrone and Conrail. He was affiliated with the Zion Baptist Church in Ansonville, and was a member of the Tyrone Blue Lodge, Scottish Rite F. & A. M. No. 494. On May 6, 2003 in Lumber City, he wed the former Clara M. Allen who survives along with his father of Bald Eagle, a daughter Kirsten Friday of York, PA, two stepsons Andy and his wife Wendy Allen of Woodland and Travis Allen of Philipsburg, three step-grandsons Andrew, Tyler, and Matthew Allen, and a sister Cynthia and her husband Matthew McKee of Altoona. He was preceded in death by his mother. Services for Mr. Friday will be held at the Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. Curwensville on Thursday, January 20, 2005 at 11 a.m., with the Reverend Richard Engle Jr. officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 19 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. until time of services. Contributions can be made to either the family or to the DuBois Regional Medical Center Hospice Program. The Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. Curwensville is in charge of the arrangements.
