He was a contracting carpenter and bridge builder, and built nearly all the wooden bridges in Bedford and Blair counties. He was a most estimable gentleman. He leaves a large number of children and grandchildren. His remains were interred at Claysburg on Monday, services being held in the Lutheran church, of which deceased was a member.
