Friley, 75, of 3112 Broad Ave., Altoona, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on May 19, 2007. She was born in Tyrone on March 15, 1932 and was the daughter of the late James and Helen (McFarland) McMullen. On June 5, 1956 she married the love of her life, Harry J. Friley, who survives. They were friends for 72 years and loved each other for many of them. Stella graduated from Tyrone High School. She retired from Lab Corp. to spend time with family; this was her passion in life. Her strength and love for family will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Rita (Friley) Davis on October 12, 2006; a grandson, Michael Grove on June 22, 1997 and a brother, Gerald Heaton. Surviving are husband, Harry Friley; a son, Harry Friley, Jr. (Andrea); daughters: Gail Lightner (Gary), Donna Young (Robert); son, Gerald Friley and daughters: Debra Friley and Ursula Kelz (Bill); a sister, Faye Neff and brothers: Dallas Heaton, Walter McMullen, Joseph McMullen and James McMullen, Jr. Also, 20 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The funeral of Stella Friley will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at Stevens Memorial Chapel by Rev. Dr. Mlen-Too Wesley. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park.
