Well known retired Williamsburg citizen, died at his home, 813 West Second street, yesterday afternoon at 3.45 o'clock, death being attributed to a complication of ailments. He was the son of Adam and Sarah Cart Frye and was born on Clover Creek on March 27, 1862. On April 12, 1883, he was united in marriage with Catherine Matilda Hyle at Alexandria, the ceremony being performed by Rev. Sangree. His wife preceded him in death. Surviving are these children: Harry Frye of Mercersburg, Mrs. J. M. Daugherty of 521 Eighth Avenue, Altoona, Elmer E. Frye, jr. and Miss Anna Frye, at home, and two sisters, Mrs. William Richardson and Mrs. Laura Dixon, both of Hollidaysburg, R.D., and seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was educated in the Clover Creek public schools and was employed for many years by the West Virginia Pulp and Paper company and retired four and one-half years ago. Mr. Frye was a member of the Trinity Evangelical and Reformed church, taught the Men's Bible class for many years and was a member of the building committee that erected the present edifice in 1909. The body may be viewed at the home after 7 o'clock this evening and until 11 o'clock Thursday when it will be taken to the church where it will lie in state until the time of the funeral services. FRYE - Funeral services for Elmer Ellsworth Frye, sr., will be conducted in the Trinity Evangelical and Reformed church in Williamsburg Thursday afternoon at 1.30 o'clock in charge of the pastor, Rev. Gerald Deiter. Interment in the Keller Reformed cemetery. Friends are being received at the home, 913 West Second street, after 7 o'clock this evening and the body will lie in state in the church after 11 o'clock Thursday.
