FRYE Formerly of 824 W. 3rd St., Williamsburg, died at 9 a.m. yesterday, Feb. 22, 1973, at Homewood Church Home, Williamsport, Md., where has was a guest for six and a half years. He was born Sept. 8, 1897, at Juniata, a son of Elmer E. and Catherine M. (Hyle) Frye, and was married on April 19, 1941, in Zion Lutheran Church, Williamsburg, by the Rev. L. V. Lasher to Sarah Eastep, who died March 7, 1966. Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Blair M. Hoover of Williamsburg. Mr. Frye was a teacher in Williamsburg Borough and Woodbury and Catharine Twps. for 40 years. He was a graduate of Williamsburg High School, Class of 1916, and attended Juniata College. Mr. Frye was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ. He was known as Pete. Friends will be received in the Friedline Funeral Home, Williamsburg, from 7 to 9 p.m. today. FRYE - Services for Elmer E. Frye, formerly of 824 W. 3rd St., Williamsburg, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Friedline Funeral home by Dr. Albert M. Wright. Interment in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Clover Creek. Friends will be received in the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today and until 11 a.m. Saturday. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., February 23, 1973
