After suffering most excruciating pains for over a year, Fireman Frank Fulton passed away at his home on West Sixteenth street, Sunday morning at 3:55 o’clock of cancer. Mr. Fulton became ill about one year ago with the disease that caused his death. He passed through several sever operations at McGirk’s hospital Philipsburg, and for a time the pains were alleviated. During the early spring days he was able to be out and around, in fact he was only confined to his bed a short time when the summons came for him to enter the eternal world. Frank was an exemplary young man and was held in high esteem by all who had the pleasure of his acquaintance. Early in life he united with the Columbia Avenue Methodist Episcopal church and since then had lived a sincere christian life. He will be greatly missed in the home, as he was a devoted and most loving husband, father and son. Frank Fulton was a son of George McClellan and Anna Fulton. He was born in Tyrone, April 2, 1888, and always resided here. He was united in marriage, September 29, 1907, at Cumberland, Maryland, to Miss Pearl Gertrude Snyder, of Tyrone, who with two little daughters, Ida May and Helen Dorothy, survive to mourn his passing away. He is also survived by his parents and the following brother and sisters: John, Luella, Margaret and Hazel. Deceased was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Enginemen and the Independent Order of Forresters. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock. The services will be held in the Columbia Avenue Methodist Episcopal church, conducted by Rev. W. J. Sheaffer and Rev. M. J. Derstine. Interment was made in Grandview cemetery.
