The Altoona tribune. (Altoona, Pa.), March 03, 1859
Died at his residence, in Logan Township, in this county, on the evening of the 16th
ult., Mr. Richard Glasgow, in the 80th rear of his age. He was among the early
settlers of the “Logan Valley,” and was at the time of death one of the oldest men
in the community. His life and death was a complete exemplification of that passage
of Holy Writ, which says, “The days of our years are three-score years and ten; and
if by reason of strength they be four-score years, yet is their strength labour and
sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.”
