The Cambria freeman. (Ebensburg, Pa.) 1867-1938: April 20, 1872
Died, at the residence of his mother, near Castlewellen, County Down, Ireland, on
the 21st ult., Mr. John E. Grimes, late of Altoona, aged about 29 years. We can bear
full and free testimony to the honesty, integrity and uprightness of our deceased
friend, whom we knew well, and in common with his host of admiring friends, esteemed
worthy of confidence and respect in all the relations of life. He was a successful
merchant in Altoona for nearly eleven years, a genial companion, a true man, and now
that Death has claimed him for its own, we hope that his immortal spirit has been
welcomed to the mansions of the blessed.
