Roy Lester, son of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Gable, died on Friday afternoon, of tetanus. Some two or three weeks ago he ran a splinter in one of his heels. The wound healed up very nicely and nothing more was thought about it until five or six days ago when he complained of not feeling well. He gradually grew worse. Medical aid was summoned and all was done that could be done, but his case developed into tetanus or lock jaw. Funeral services took place on Sunday afternoon in the Lutheran cemetery at Newry. Roy was a great favorite, not only among the little folks, but among the older ones as well; in fact, everybody had a good word for him and many are . . . that they were not able to do anything to alleviate his sufferings. He participated in the Children's Day services that were held in the Methodist church recently and also took part in services at the Presbyterian church. He was 7 years 7 months old when death took him.
