GALLAGHER Of 501 Seventh avenue, died at 12 o'clock Sunday noon in Mercy hospital where he and Mrs. Gallagher had been patients for nearly three months. Mr. Gallagher was the son of Bernard and Catherine (Early) Gallagher. His parents came from Ireland and settled in Eckley where Mr. Gallagher was born about 76 years ago. He was twice married. His first wife, Bridget (O'Donnell) Gallagher, died in 1900, leaving one son, Bernard, who now lives in Hazelton. He came to Altoona in 1900 and was employed by the PRR front which he retired about 13 years. In 1915 he married Mrs. Margaret Bailey in St. Mark's rectory. She survives him with a step-son, Robert Bailey, of Chicago, his son Bernard of Hazelton, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Sweeney of Philadelphia. He was a member of St. Mark's Catholic church, the Knights of St. George, United lodge 174, and the B. of R. T. Friends will be received at the N. A.
