MRS. ADA V. GARDNER

Of Claysburg RD, formerly of Pavia, died yesterday in the Nason
Hospital after an extended illness.  She was born July 23, 1877, at
East Freedom, a daughter of Joseph A. and Leah (Corle) Hite, and
married Henry Gardner, who died Dec. 12, 1942.  Surviving are six
children, Lawrence E. of Claysburg RD, Ruben H. of Johnstown, Chester
of Birmingham, Mich., Mrs. Mary Snyder of Riverside, Calif., Mrs. Hazel
L. Croyle of Mount Alto and Mrs. Viola M. Smith of Bedford; 13
grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Thomas
Bennett of Detroit, Mich.  She was of the Reformed faith.  Friends will
be received at the Leslie Funeral Home, Claysburg, after 1 p.m.
tomorrow.
