Some two years ago he was injured by a fall from which he never fully recovered. He was born at Gardner station, March 8, 1830, and at death was aged 69 years, 5 months and 17 days. He was a devoted an consistent member of the Bald Eagle Methodist church. The deceased is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hannah Gardner, and the following children, viz: Amos A. Gardner, of Tyrone; Mrs. Ralph Huntzman, of Altoona; J. B. Gardner, of Gillantown, Pa.,; Mrs. G. W. Beamer, David, John, Nannie and Jennie Gardner, of Snyder township. Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Bald Eagle Methodist church, conducted by Rev. J. W. Deavor, followed by interment in the cemetery adjoining the church.
