Mr. John Gardner, who was crushed beneath a fall of slate in the Frankstown slope mines, some three weeks ago, died at 1 o'clock on Friday morning and will be buried in the Catholic cemetery at 3 o'clock on Sunday afternoon. Death, no doubt, was a welcome visitor. He was never able to swallow a particle of solid food since he was injured, the lower portion of his body being paralyzed. He leaves a wife, but no children.
