Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Saturday, November 22, 1890 WILLIAMSBURG WAIFS. On last Sunday afternoon the remains of Mr. Jeremiah Garner were laid to rest in the Clover Creek Lutheran cemetery, where they shall await the summons on the great resurrection day. Mr. Garner was aged 34 years, 4 months and 8 days. Death was to him no terror, and he died in the triumph of a living faith, expressing his willingness to go to his long home. At about 16 years of age he united with the church to which he remained devotedly attached until his death. His pastor, Rev. B. R. M. Sheeder, improved the occasion by speaking from the words, "There is but a step between me and death." - I Samuel, xx. 3. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Wednesday, November 26, 1890
