SAMUEL GARNETT

Of 818 Montgomery street, Hollidaysburg, died at his home yesterday
afternoon at 4.30 o'clock.  A resident of Hollidaysburg for 55 years,
he was the son of Samuel and Martha Garnet and was born in Richmond,
Va., March 23, 18964. Surviving are three daughters, Melinda Downing of
Altoona, Gertrude Garnett, at home, and Mrs. Margaret Parks of Asbury
Park, N.J.; two sons, Dr. George Garnett of New Castle and Samuel of
Hollidaysburg; two sisters and a brother, Mrs. Ellen Rich, Mrs. Sara
Roberson and Richard Garnett, all of Richmond, Va.; eight grandchildren
and one great grandchild.  Mr. Garnett was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist
church, Altoona.  Friends will be received at the home after 6 o'clock
Sunday evening.

FUNERAL NOTICE

GARNETT - Funeral services for Samuel Garnett of 818 Montgomery street,
Hollidaysburg, will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home.
Interment in the Union cemetery, Hollidaysburg.  Friends will be
received at the home after 6 o'clock Sunday evening.
