Mrs. Sarah Gasdorf, an aged resident of this city, died at the residence of her daughter, Emma Gasdorf, 706 Twelfth street, at 2 o'clock yesterday morning. The deceased was born May 18, 1812, and was consequently aged 88 years, 6 months and 2 days. She was twice married, her first husband being John Duncan, there being seven children born to this union, two of whom - Mrs. Rosanna Gable and Steven Duncan - survive and live in this city. Her second husband was John Gasdorf, by whom she had three children, Emma and John F. Gasdorf, the survivors, living in this city. The deceased was a consistent believer in the Catholic faith and was faithful in her churchly duties until the infirmities of age compelled her to take her bed. She was well known throughout the city and had a large circle of friends, who unite in extending sympathy to the bereaved children. The funeral will leave the late residence at half past 8 o'clock on Saturday morning, to proceed to St. Mary's church where, at 9 o'clock, requiem mass will be celebrated. Interment in St. Mary's cemetery. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Friday, November 21, 1890
