MARTINSBURG MATTERS.
Death of a Venerable Man.

  John Gates, aged 92 years, one of the old employes of Dr. 
Shoenberger, at Rebecca Furnace, died on the 1st while on a visit among 
his children at Barree.  The body was brought here yesterday on the 
train, and from here taken out to the old home for burial.
