Mrs. Ida A. Ettinger Gaunsallus, passed away at her home on Park avenue Saturday night at 10.40 o’clock. Mrs. Gaunsallus was taken to Altoona hospital six weeks ago, suffering with rheumatism. She returned home two weeks ago on Saturday and one week later was stricken with pneumonia, which proved fatal. Mrs. Gaunsallus was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ettinger, of Troxelville, Snyder county. She was born March 23, 1892 in Troxelville, and September 3, 1908 was united in marriage at Middleburg to Toner Gaunsallus. Four years ago they moved to Tyrone and have resided here ever since. The husband and a daughter, Grace Violet survive to mourn the wife and mother’s death. She is also survived by her parents and the following brothers and sisters: William, Joseph, Carrie, of Troxelville; Mrs. Nellie Weigle, of Lewistown; Miss Elsie Ettinger, of Glenarn. She was a good christian woman, a loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed in the home. She was a member of the Brethren church. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at ten o’clock.
