All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ EXPIRES SUDDENLY AT SUNDAY SCHOOL Suffering a heart attack while attending Sunday school at the First Methodist church yesterday morning, Samuel Thaddeus Gayman, aged 63, of 1002 Twenty-third avenue died suddenly at 9:45 o'clock. He was born in Oakland Mills, Juniata county, on March 31, 1879, a son of Joseph and Elizabeth (Kurtz) Gayman, and had been quite active in church affairs since coming to Altoona in 1900. He was employed as a traveling representative of a Reading company. Mr. Gayman was twice married, his first wife, Mrs. Edith (Kipple) Gayman, dying in 1918. On Dec. 24, 1921, he married Miss Magno? Gearhart. Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Misses Lorraine and Eleanor Gayman, both at home, and one brother, Frank Gayman of Thompsontown. Mr. Gayman was a member and steward of the First Methodist church, a member of Lambertson lodge, No. 371, F. and A. M., of Thompsontown, the Williamsport consistory, Jaffa temple and of the United Commercial Travelers. Friends are being received at the home.
