Marie GEARHART Miss Gearhart, 71, of Box 162, Duncansville RD 5, died at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, 1985, in her home. Miss Gearhart retired as principal of Central School, Hollidaysburg, in June 1975, after 42 years service. She was born June 9, 1914, in Maple Hollow, the daughter of Charles C. and Elsie (Stom) Gearhart. Surviving are three sisters and a brother: Olive Haller of Hollidaysburg, Aldine of Duncansville, Charles A. of Littleton, Colo., and Geraldine Bowser of Cumberland Md. Miss Gearhart was a member of the Duncansville Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher and pianist. She was a member of the Pennsylvania Teachers Association and National Education Association. She received a bachelor of science degree from Juniata College, Huntingdon, and a master of education from Pennsylvania State University. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Donald E. Liebegott Funeral Home, Duncansville. GEARHART - Services for A. Marie Gearhart of Box 162, Duncansville RD 5, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Donald E. Liebegott Funeral Home Inc., Duncansville, by the Rev. Samuel W. Schmitthenner.
