MRS. RACHEL GEARHART.

  Tuesday morning Mrs. Rachel Gearhart, wife of Edward Gearhart, of
Philadelphia, died at her home in that city of cancer of the stomach.
The deceased was aged 46 years, and is survived by her husband.  She
was a daughter of Edward Carroll, of this city.  These brothers and
sisters survive: Mrs. Jacob Akers, Mrs. Silas Swires, Mrs. Owen
Williams, John P. Carroll, all of Altoona; James Carroll, of
Harrisburg; David Carroll, of Pittsburg, and Thomas Carroll, of
Baltimore.  She was a member of St. John's Roman Catholic church of
this city, having resided here several years previous to her death.
