"Bus" Gebhart, 90, formerly of Tyrone, and a resident of the Lutheran Home in Hollidaysburg, died at noon Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008 at the home. He was born April 25, 1917 in Grazierville the son of Philip E. and Bessie (Waite) Gebhart. He was twice married: Oct. 14, 1939 he married Helen J. Thompson who died Sept. 3, 1972. Then on Feb. 8, 1975 he married Treva Izetta Riggleman. He is survived by his wife of Tyrone and three daughters: Bonnie Lou Garner (Steve) of Tyrone, Audrey K. Barrow (Doug) of Tallahassee, Fla., and Joan E. Smith (Chris) of Bell Pree, Ohio. Grandchildren: Lori Jones, Murray Fetzer II, Noelle Caparelle, Rhonda Ward, Steven Barrow, Matthew Smith and David Smith. Great-grandchildren: Jayden and Parker Caparelle, Rachael Jones, Susan Fetzer and Isabelle Fetzer, Ashton Boddi, Hailey Ward, Austin, Talon and Arianna Barrow. A sister: Winifred Lauder (Ross) of Warriors Mark. Step-children: Kevin R. Kolak (Pat) of Elliottsburg, Pa., Renee L. Wilson (John C. "Chip") RD3 Tyrone, Charles Theodore Price (Frances) Roaring Spring, Pa., and Heidi Sue Moffa (Joseph) of Tyrone. Step-grandchildren: Sarah Wilson, Justin Wilson, Nick "Ty" Wilson, Andrew Kolak, Brian Kolak, Christopher Kolak, Brenton Price, Dana Price, and Bradley Price. Step-great-grandson: Mason Price. He was a member of the Tyrone High School Class of 1939. He enjoyed playing the banjo and woodworking. He and his wife traveled extensively by Airstream with the WBCI. He loved his family and was a friend to all. He was a longtime associate of the former Johnson Funeral Home, Tyrone. He retired in 1979 as a WreckMaster from Conrail after 42 years service. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 3, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Brethren, Tyrone, with Pastor Jeff Miley officiating. Interment will be at Eastlawn Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone, on Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and one hour before the service at the Church of the Brethren.
