At 8:45 on Tuesday night, Alva R. Geer, a former merchant of Conemaugh,
died of paralysis at the home of his son, James H. Geer, at Braddock,
aged 61 years.  He was the father of Harry H. Geer, of this city.
Besides these two sons, there are also two daughters and two other sons
surviving.  He was born in Westmoreland County and several brothers and
sisters are also living.  The funeral will be held on Friday afternoon
in Johnstown at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Effie Cobaugh, 627 Oak
Street, with interment at Conemaugh.

Additional Comments: One of the other surviving sons was my great
grandfather, Samuel Geer.  Alva R. Geer married Mona Jane Coy.
