ADDA VANETTA GEIST Of 804 Second street, Juniata, died at the Mercy hospital at 1.25 o'clock this morning, after being a patient there since April 24. She was born at Arch Springs on April 27, 1880, a daughter of Alfred T. Russell, deceased, and Mrs. Mary E. (Webb) Russell, the latter residing at the daughter's house. She was married to Charles W. Geist who died Nov. 14, 1916. Surviving are the mother, two daughters, Mrs. Melvin L. Kauffman of Juniata gap and Mrs. J. Albert Winter of Altoona; five grandchildren, one brother and two sisters, Lee H. Russell and Mrs. Quinter Replogle, both, of this city, and Mrs. R. G. Beck of Juniata. Mrs. Geist was a faithful member of the Juniata Presbyterian church and taught the junior and intermediate Sunday school classes. She also was president of the Ladies Missionary society and Ladies Aid, besides being a member of the C. I. C. Bible class. Friends will be received at the home after 7 o'clock this evening. GEIST - The funeral of Mrs. Adda Venette Geist of 504 Second street, Juniata, will be held from the family home with services Saturday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock in charge of Rev. W. A. Nicholson. Interment will follow in Rose Hill cemetery. Friends will be received at the home after 7 o'clock this evening. Altoona Mirror, September 4, 1941
