GEIST Mr. Geist, 68, of 217 Blair St., Hollidaysburg, died at 6:30 a.m. today, Dec. 28, 1984, in Mercy Hospital, after an extended illness. Mr. Geist retired as a mechanic from PennDOT in 1981, and previously worked as a mechanic at Hershberger Garage, Mart, died at 6:30 a.m. today, Dec. 28, 1984, in Mercy Hospital, after an extended illness. Mr. Geist retired as a mechanic from PennDOT in 1981, and previously worked as a mechanic at Hershberger Garage, Martinsburg. He was born Jan. 18, 1916, in Martinsburg, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Geist, and married Dorothy Heininger. Surviving are his wife, two children: Joanne Crouthers of Duncansville RD and Joseph F. Heininger of Hollidaysburg; three grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Mr. Geist attended the Martinsburg Church of God. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in the Plank & Stitt Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg. GEIST - Services for Franklin R. Geist of 217 Blair St., Hollidaysburg, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Plank & Stitt Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, by the Rev. Charles Riley. Interment in Greenlawn Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.
