An Employe of Schmucker's Stone Quarry Killed Last Saturday. A fatal accident occurred at Schmucker stone quarries, on Pine Creek, three miles from Williamsburg last Saturday afternoon, the victim being William George. The man was an employe and was working when a stone fell from the breast of the quarry, striking him on the forehead just above the hose, fracturing his skull. The stone weighed about five pounds. George only lived a few minutes. The deceased was an American and leaves a wife and two children. He formerly lived at Ore Hill, this county, but for some time made his home at Mines, to which place his body was taken. We are indebted to our Williamsburg correspondent for the above facts. Morning Tribune, Monday, March 5, 1900 LOCAL BREVITIES. Coroner McCartney yesterday investigated the death of William George, who was killed in a quarry at Williamsburg. He decided an inquest unnecessary. Morning Tribune, Tuesday, March 6, 1900
