MRS. SARAH GERMAN.

  At 7.30 o'clock last evening Mrs. Sarah German, wife of John G. 
German, died at her home, 1312 First avenue, of heart failure.  She was 
apparently in good health in the morning and her death was a great 
shock to the family.  Deceased was born May 3, 1844, at Kirchbrombach, 
Germany, came to America September 17, 1883, and since then had resided 
in Altoona.  She was an estimable woman and besides her husband is 
survived by two sons, John and M. A., both at home.  The funeral will 
take place Sunday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock.  Interment in Oak Ridge 
cemetery.
