Deaths of a Day.

Thomas Gettings.

Thomas Gettings, a resident of this city, died yesterday evening at
6:45, at the home of his son, Thomas J., 1421 Sixteenth avenue.  Mr.
Gettings had been ill for about eight months, the cause of his death
being cancer.  He was aged 66 years and 4 days, having been born in
County Sligo, Ireland, June 24, 1840.  He was a member of St. John's
Catholic church.  The funeral cortege will leave his late home at 6:30
a.m. Monday morning, going to St. Augustine, where services will be
held in the Catholic church at that place.  Interment will be made in
the cemetery there.
