PEARL W. GIBSON

Of Ypsilanti, Mich., formerly of Duncansville RD 2, died Saturday, Dec.
9, 1978, in the Parkview Extended Care Home, Ypsilanti, following an
extended illness. She was born Aug. 30, 1879, in Newry, the daughter of
S. Blair and Martha (Wike) Weaver, and married James Marshall Gibson,
who died Oct. 3, 1954.  Surviving are five children, Donald W. and Mrs.
Elizabeth Sprentall of Ann Arbor, Mich., Anna, a guest at the Allegheny
Lutheran Home of Hollidaysburg, Blair W. of East Freedom and James M.
Jr. Of Portage; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and a great-
great-grandchild.  She was a member of the Newry Lutheran Church and a
graduate of Roaring Spring Teachers School.  She taught in Newry
schools in 1900.  Friends will be received in the Donald E. Liebegott
Funeral Home, Duncansville, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
