  Mrs. Julia Gilbert, wife of Rev. Richard H. Gilbert, of Berwick, died 
at the Methodist Episcopal hospital, of Philadelphia, Saturday night at 
10.24 o'clock, of cancer of the brain.  She had been a constant 
sufferer for some time past.  Rev. and Mrs. Gilbert were residents of 
Tyrone some few years ago, when Rev. Mr. Gilbert was pastor of the 
First Methodist church of this place.  The funeral was held at 2.30 
o'clock Wednesday afternoon from the Methodist parsonage, at Berwick. 
Interment at Berwick.  Besides her husband survive one son, Richard of 
Berwick, and one step-daughter, Mrs. Charles Kloss, of Ohio.  Two 
children preceded their mother to the grave.  Mrs. Gilbert was a 
consistent member of the Methodist church.  While in Tyrone she made 
many friends who will regret to learn of her death.
