Allen  Vincent  Gildea	

Allen Vincent Gildea, 67, Dysart, died Tuesday at Hillsdale Nursing and 
Rehabilitation Center after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Baltimore, son of Vincent Gildea and Mary (Wilt) Gildea-Irvin and 
his stepfather, Dale Irvin. He married Sonia Meader  Jan. 21, 1974 in Altoona.

Surviving are his wife of Dysart; a son, Duane; and his aunt, Margaret Russell, 
and her children, Scott, Bonnie and Holly.

Allen was a 1960 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School.  He served in the U.S. 
Air Force and was a meat department manager for Riverside stores in this area.  
He enjoyed farming and his animals.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov 1, 2009, at The 
Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park Cemetery 
(www.thegoodfuneralhomeinc.com), where a funeral service will be held at 10:30 
a.m. Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, by Pastor Sharon Erb.  Interment at Alto-Reste Park 
Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your local humane 
society.
