ANNIE GILLIAND Of 2907 Broad avenue died at her home this morning at 10.30 o'clock after an illness of six weeks. She was born in Tyrone, July 18, 1856, the daughter o George and Mary (Palmer) Mattern. She was twice married, both husbands preceding her in death. She was first married to William H. Mays on July 1, 1872, who died in 1909. She was then married to James Gilliand in 1922, who also preceded her in death in 1938. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Minnie Hall of Beaver Falls, Mrs. Ella Monaham of Hudgins, Va., and Mrs. Oda Balt, at whose home she died. Nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two great- great-grandchildren also survive. She was of the Methodist faith. Friends will be received at the Laughlin funeral home after 7 o'clock this evening. Richard Welliver. The body will then be taken to Pittsburgh where interment will be at 3 o'clock Monday afternoon, in the Allegheny cemetery, Pittsburgh.
